Copydex Glue?
I'm looking to repair a seam on a latex garment.
Was suggested by the creator to find copydex glue.
Something tells me I won't be able to pick it up just anywhere.

Re: Where to find....
Wed, March 5, 2008 - 8:19 AMcopydex? that's a new one to me. Is the seam torn or just needs to be reglued? if it needs to be regued, get some Bestine and some rubber cement. In a wall-ventilated area, swab a bit of Bestine onto the areas which need to be reglued. Apply a bit of rubber cement and press down on the seam hard to seal it. -

The gal said she uses "copydex" glue.
Rubber cement??? really????
Where can I pick up Bestine?
Will any small artsy DIY style store have it? -

Re: Where to find....
Wed, March 5, 2008 - 11:34 AMthey might. I'd call first. It's a rubber thinner, and some large places carry it and some small art supply places carry it. However, it's pretty hit and miss as to who carries it. It's not rare, just inconsistently stocked.
A recent post on my LJ community about making/working with latex: community.livejournal.com/latex...9.html Some good info and instructions about the process. (Besttest and Bostick are also types of rubber adhesives, more readily available in the UK)
