Serging chiffon on the Janome Mylock 204D

I know a few of you must have this machine - what tension settings are you using to make a rolled hem on chiffon? I'm having trouble with this.

Dee, since nobody else has answered I will say that something that was covered in a serger class I just took at The Sewing Workshop is that sometimes tension is not the problem.
First of all, exactly what trouble are you having? thread breaking? fabric puckering? or ?
Second, if thread is breaking, are you using a good match of needle and thread sizes relative to each other?
Third, if puckering or other edge issues, can you adjust the width of the finger OR the distance of the lower blade? Each adjustment will do something different (the finger affects the width of the overlock chain and the lower blade --- well on a rolled hem...never mind!)
Fourth, double check that the thread really is IN the tension discs before you start sewing (w/ pressure foot down you should really feel the tension esp on the looper threads) and proof by starting a good chain before trying anything w/ fabric.

Well, I'd still like to know what tensions people are using on this fabric before I go messing with all the other variables. Not having so much trouble with fabric puckering or thread breaking, just not getting a good even chain.

Well Janet - you were right!!! I could have sworn the thread was in the tension discs, but one really wasn't. I took my machine back to the place I bought it and was all like "boo hoo it won't serge" and they showed me how a properly threaded disc should feel. It's TIGHT!!! Also, what really helped as far as sewing on chiffon was running it with some rip-away paper underneath - helps it feed much better. The fabric was getting all jammed in there before.
