I picked up an old sewing machine from a flea market and it only came with the basic foot. The brand appears to be "Morse" and it's all metal parts so it's got to be old. It seems to do button holes, so I 'd like to get a button hole foot, and a rolled hem foot (I think they exist?) or a blind stitch foot if those exist. Also, I have yet to find a manual for this thing. Any ideas where I could find manuals for weird old machines?

There are a few good sites out there, but I tend to like www.allbrands.com I've only purchased 1 or 2 items from them but I haven't had any problems.

Re: Where to get feet for weird old sewing machine?
Sat, November 29, 2008 - 6:33 PMthere are a number of websites that specializing in scans of old sewing machine manuals, or there are other sites which sell them. try googling the model and make and I'd be very surprised if you didn't find a manual online somewhere.
As for the feet, it will depend on the shank length (and angle) of the bar that the feet go onto. Fortunately, these are rather standardized. You're welcome to bring your machine over and you can see if the feet I have fit. That should help give you an idea of what you're looking for. I might even have some extras lying around, but I'm not sure.
I have a sewing machine repair guy who might be able to order some parts for you if you need something weird, but often you can find feet in sewing machine stores, especially if it takes standard feet. -

Mon, February 23, 2009 - 6:35 PMI have a Morse! It was my grandmother's & I love it! I don't have a manual either, but I've found that most parts for older Singers fit the Morse. Take your foot off & take it to a repair shop that deals in older machines to make sure it's long enough (that was the problem I had with newer feet). You'll have more luck there than a fabric store.
