Hi. I just bought a Singer Serger 14U44 from Craigslist yesterday. What a piece of crap! The guy said "Only used once, brand new..."
Yeah, probably because it broke after the first use!
Anyway, when I took it home, it wouldn't make a chain, and it was VERY loud. After checking it out,I found that the needle would rub and snap against the Left Looper. The loud noise was the needle scraping against the looper. I thought the looper was maybe bent so I tried to adjust and it broke. That part costs $22.
Anyway, what the hell do I do? I already overpaid for this machine; $150! Now I gotta get it repaired? Does anyone have any advice before I start putting more money into this machine?? I was so stoked to finally have a serger and now it doesn't even work!
