Re: What have you been working on?
Sun, February 24, 2008 - 7:11 AMI have just finished 5 costumes for my Tribal Fusion Belly Dance Troupe. As far as pics, these will not be posted until after their performance on March 16th @ Rakkasah.
Now I am working on making pantaloons to sell in my boutique. My plans for the month of April, is to start making a dress from the Regency Period.

Re: What have you been working on?
Sun, February 24, 2008 - 9:27 AMthis weekend is spent on a new corset. I've shrunk out of all of mine, and I'm not allowed to go out to a club until I have something to wear!
Corset is a blue-green crossweave taffeta - fabric stolen from a Jessica McClintock prom skirt - with plum exterior boning channels, and straps. -

Re: What have you been working on?
Sun, February 24, 2008 - 10:36 AMI've been working on setting up the studio in my new home! It is larger and sunnier and I'm very excited about it. Right now I'm preshrinking cotton prints and heavy weight flannel lining for curtains. I suspect curtains and aikido weapons bags will constitute all my sewing for the next few months....not very exciting!
But I look forward to seeing pix of other folks' corsets and finery.

I have been alternating between working on some 18th century stuff, making class samples for my sewing classes, and getting a bunch of vintage patterns up on etsy ( www.vintagerouge.etsy.com ). Busy, busy! :) -

Re: What have you been working on?
Thu, February 28, 2008 - 5:38 PMI have been working on a pair of skirts for the fetish ball coming up at the beginning of March. They aren't done yet, so I can only post the sketches. They are each meant to be worn with leather corsets from Dark Garden. Ginger Snap's has a black organza underskirt with flat felled seams, and a black taffeta ruched/ bustled overskirt. Mateo's has boxpleats with the outer fabric being a heavy satin, and the backing is again black organza. He is also getting leather belting/ buckles at the side seam, and grommets holding the box pleats together. I'll post photos when they are finished.
